AGARTALA, Feb 7 (TIWN): Tension gripped Tripura BJP as Sudip Roy Barman has declared to render BJP a minority in Tripura and the nervousness of Tripura BJP was visible on BJP leaders’ faces at Krishna Nagar headquarter in the evening press meet. Though challenging Sudip Roy Barman’s statement that BJP will turn the minority, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said, “BJP is comfortable and two MLAs’ resignation will not be a matter at all”, but a picture has gone viral on social media showing at least 5 BJP MLAs are now in Delhi, likely to join Congress party. With Asish Das, Asish Saha, Sudip Roy Barman, total 3 MLAs have already resigned from Tripura BJP and now 3 more MLAs were spotted in Delhi with Sudip Roy Barman and Asish Saha.
Now out of these 6 MLAs, Asish Das had joined TMC earlier though nowadays, he is not active in TMC. BJP’s relationship with IPFT is also in turmoil and one of the IPFT MLAs resigned to join TIPRA Motha party. Rumours are active that Sudip Roy Barman group will join Congress and align with Tipra Motha in the 2023 poll.
The reason behind such rebellions inside the BJP has been only CM Biplab Deb who allegedly was running a Dictator regime and today Sudip Barman has labeled the BJP Govt as “One Man Party” where legislators have no right to exercise their power.
“These BJP people have fooled the voters in Tripura with Fake Promises”, Sudip Roy Barman told media after reigning from the BJP.
BJP has received a setback as the party had no clue that Sudip Roy Barman will quit the MLA post, not only the party but today Sudip Barman, Asish Saha have quitted the BJP Party and MLA post both alleging undemocratic situation in the state led by one man rule under Biplab Deb.
BJP MP Rebati Tripura also joined the rebel MLAs in Delhi.
