AGARTALA, Jan 23 (TIWN): A Silent ‘Censorship’ has been announced against the opposition in Tripura as Netaji Subash Chandra Bose’s self-created party Forward Bloc members were not allowed to deliver the speech, organize cultural programmes and make gathering on Netaji Jayanti. As a result, Forward Bloc members only lighted candles and paid floral tribute to Netaji Subash Chandra Bose but on contrary, there was no Covid rule in the daytime and the BJP party made gatherings without social distancing at the Krishna Nagar party office. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath and CM Biplab Deb both joined the gathering in different programmes.
Such a different rule was imposed against different occasions amid Supreme Court recently slammed a State Govt over biased decisions in Covid rules imposition and rallies based on political interest.
Forward Bloc (the Party which was created by Netaji himself) did not get permission to deliver a speech on Netaji Jayanti due to Corona-virus. But CM Biplab Deb himself attended the public gatherings and at that time there was no Covid rule. The incident has triggered controversy.
