AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): When Biplab Deb led BJP Govt marked itself an anti-press Govt, Sudip Roy Barman took the media controversy sportingly. Tripura BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman has fuelled the controversy further about his quitting BJP after he asked media that only the correct time will show his ultimate decision. Today, Tripura BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman visited Dharmanagar, North Tripura along with MLA Asish Saha. The MLAs met "Bondhur Naam Sudip" organization members and had meeting. On being asked by media whether, he will join Trinamool or Congress by quitting BJP, he neither refused nor agreed with the rumour about his BJP quitting chances ahead of 2023 Assembly Election.
Barman replied, “Newspapers are discussing on me and it shows I am in the scene. It’s good that rumours are going on and in politics, controversies are good for politicians”.
Tripura BJP has long back cracked, broken apart and back in 2021 majority of the BJP MLA went against Biplab Deb seeking his removal from the CM post. Thousands of BJP kariyakartas raised Biplab Hatao slogan in front of Tripura state observer Vinod Sonkar. The crack in BJP was developed since Tripura CM Biplab Deb had sacked Sudip Roy Barman from Health Ministry and CM himself took the charge of the Health Ministry amid Sudip Barman’s excellent performance and report card on health development submission.
