AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb claimed people did not know to say Bharat-Mata Ki Jay before his Govt was in power.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Monday while addressing Agartala AD Nagar Ground during Police week said, “People of Tripura today know to utter Bharat Mata”.

“Today Police are saying Bharat Mata Ki Jay but earlier when anyone said Bharat Mata Ki Jay it was labeled as Communal”.

Biplab Deb also said, “It is a new Tripura……We could change the society because we are disciplined...….though few people may claim that the people in service were employed by the previous Govt, but it’s not true. All were given with public money. Govt employees salaries are given by people, even my salary is also public money”.

“Public is above all. No party or Govt can give anything but with public money it is distributed”, said Biplab Deb.
