Agartala, Dec 28 (TIWN): Manbi Social Organisation today felicitated gymnast Dipa Karmakar, eminent dancer Sadhvi Majumder and renowned litterateur- Subimal Roy in the first session of third Mahila Festival at Agartala Press Club.

Prominent social activist- Panchali Bhattacharjee inaugurated the programme while Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC)- Dr. Prafullajit Sinha graced the dais as chief guest.

Being asked, with an endeavour to involve the women in the wide social activities from mulish domestic households, Manbi Social Organisation today conducted this Mahila Festival for third consecutive year, said secretary of the organization- Susmita Dhar over telephone.

In the second phase of the programme, an awareness camp on ‘Responsibility of Police’ will be held at Agartala Press Club today. Dr. Tapati Chakraborty of Tripura Police Accountability Commission would address the awareness camp, said Dhar.  

Besides, few competitive events including Musical Chair, Quiz will also be organized in the second phase of the programme, she added.
