KAKRABAN / UDAIPUR, December 27 (TIWN): PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury today slammed the Congress party saying that at present both in Tripura and at the national level Congress has lost its ground. Choudhury was addressing a massive gathering in Kakraban. The rally was organized as part of CPI(M) Udaipur Sub Divisional Committee's conference. The public rally was held in the BT Training College Field, Kakraban. Others who remained present on this occasion include DWS Minister Ratan Bhowmik, MLA Madhab Saha. Veteran CPI(M) leader Keshab Majunder presided over the rally.

Addressing the rally Badal Choudhury said," Both the Congress and BJP are the friends of America. Thus, though a new govt came to power at the Centre , it is too working to protect the interests of the Corporates." Badal Chowdhury said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited US President Barack Obama to India as the Chief Guest in the Republic Day celebration on 26. But CPI(M) will protest against the Govt's decision across the country . Choudhury criticised that in the name of religion BJP is creating an atmosphere of riot and ethnic violence in India. BJP is even more dangerous than the Congress, said Choudhury. 

However, shamelessly Tripura Govt begging for central govt funds, cajoling Modi for funds and then stealing part of it. On top of that CPIM Govt begging for American funds and using Amercian dollars, World Bank funds in multiple ongoing projects in State. From toilet, sanitations to environment - Tripura's CPIM Govt with a continuous begging bowl to Delhi, USA, Japan, Germany for funds.
Interestingly Badal Choudhury criticised the attitude of the opposition regarding the MGNREGA scam in Bishalgarh saying," Our Govt has made the audit and even the employees doing the audit were also of the state govt's employees. Thus, the credit for bring the scam into the like light goes to the state govt and CPI(M) party. Congress has no right to say anything against it. " 
        Badal Choudhury made a strong attack against the Congress alleging that once there was a time when Congress came to the power in the entire north eastern region under the assistance from the terrorists. He said," Even in Tripura during the last assembly election too Congress tried to come to the power through back door due to their unholy alliance with the terrorists. But the arrest of the brother of Sudip Roy Barman just before election revealed the truth before the public. " He asked ," Can Congress and Sudip Roy Barman deny that the profit of the brick field of his brother cines to the Barman family?" 
        The two days conference will cone to an end on Sunday afternoon. Manik Biswas is almost set to become the new Sub Divisional Committee Secretary . Current Secretary Madhab Saha will be the first Gomati District Committee Secretary ( currently the convenor of the ad hoc committee).
