AGARTALA, Sep 30 (TIWN): The Press Council of India (PCI) Chairman Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad has issued notice to the Tripura Govt over attacks on media houses on 8th September, 2021 as the entire incident has remained without any police action against the accused persons even after the culprits faces were exposed in clear footages. PCI chairman Justice CK Prasad has reportedly asked the State Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to submit replies over the incident. However, so far no reply was sent to the PCI from the State. 3 newspaper offices - 1) Pratibadi Kalam, 2) Daily Desher Katha, 3) Duranta TV and at least 50 party offices of CPI-M have been set on fire by BJP in 24 hours. On Sept 8 in Agartala 1) Pratibadi Kalam, 2) Daily Desher Katha were openly attacked in broad daylight and the accused persons faces were exposed but the entire incident left without any action. On 8th September, a rally was led by BJP leaders Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Kalyani Roy, Mohila Morcha President Papia Datta, Yuva Morcha leaders Nabadul Banik, Viki Prasad, Raghu Lodh.
