AGARTALA, Sept 28 (TIWN): Police of Kalyanpur PS led a search operation in Shantinagar village and recovered huge amount of illegally stored local and foreign liquor from a house.

Reportedly, for a long time drugs including local and foreign liquor illegal trade has been going on in different areas under Kalyanpur PS. Finally, based on secret information a huge police force led by SI Jayant Debnath and SI Biswajit Chowdhury led a search operation on Monday evening in Subrata Dattta's house and his shop near Shantinagar Bazar and recovered a large quantity of various liquor brands.

Police sources claimed that the seized amount of liquor estimated market value was Rs 60,000. The accused, Subrata Dutta fled away from the spot as soon as he got the information of the Police raid.

Such success of the police of Kalyanpur PS ahead of Durgapuja in the anti-drug campaign is definitely significant.
