AGARTALA, Sep 27 (TIWN): West District Magistrate and Police although warned opposition Trinamool about “stern action” if laws are broken but when CM Biplab Deb himself had violated Disaster Management Act and Section 144, no action was taken against him. Although, it’s nothing surprising as Tripura Police cited cowardice act’s biggest example by not arresting the September 8 incident’s accused persons even after having video footage. Today Trinamool Congress has lodged a complaint against CM Biplab Deb and his BJP Party at the Banamalipur constituency for violating Section 144. The law violation was conducted by CM Biplab Deb after Police cancelled Trinamool General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s rally on September 15, September 16 and then September 22 and the last rally's permission was denied with DM’s order and High Court’s observation since implementation of Section 144 on September 21.
TMC would lodge an online FIR now, as the On-Duty Police official escaped from the spot and did not receive the complaint.
TMC said, in Tripura it is now evident that a single law is differently implemented against opposition and BJP. The state has one law for BJP and another law for opposition.
