AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Amid around 100% vaccination claim of Tripura Govt and drop in the Covid positivity rates in the state, it has prohibited all types of rallies, political meetings in the Sadar under West Dist. The decision came amid Trinamool Congress had appealed for a rally’s permission in the High Court after being rejected 3 times by Tripura police to organize a rally in the state. Tripura Govt was issued with a notice from the High Court yesterday about police’s dilemma on Abhishek Banerjee’s rally permission. Today was the final hearing date and Tripura Govt lawyers have submitted a report on behalf of the Govt which banned all rallies, meeting up to Diwali that is November 4 in the Sadar. Consequently, the High Court did not interfere in the Govt procedure keeping the festival and Covid situation on ground.

In the freshly published order by DM West Rajib Datta it has been said that there are chances of political turmoil.
