AGARTALA, Sep 18 (TIWN): Amid BJP government's much hyped "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" slogan, daughters of Tripura are crying, suffering and screaming for justice. On everyday basis crime against women such as rape, molestation, domestic violence cases are registering across the State, however, the state Women Commission has preferred to stay silent as always. In yet another case, one minor girl was raped brutally in Kailasahar Subdivision under Unakoti District on 15th September. But after 48 hours of the incident no arrest has been made yet. The victim attempted suicide by consuming poison out of grief.

Reportedly, On 15th September the accused Aktar Ali trapped the victim by promising marrige and took her to a place adjacent to Srinathpur village under Gauranga block and sexually assaulted her. The victim later disclosed everything to her parents and the family lodged a case in Irani PS against the accused Aktar Ali.

It came to know that the accused Aktar Ali is a resident of the same village where the incident occurred. Later when the police came to victim's home to investigate the matter the victim consumed poison out of fear and grief.

The victim was immediately taken to hospital and she's under treatment now. The victim's family sought strict action against the accused.
