AGARTALA, Sep 11 (TIWN): Newspaper Office Pratibadi Kalam was fully ransacked on September 8, 2021 by a mob carrying BJP's flag during a rally led by Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Kalyani Roy, Papia Datta, Tinku Roy and Yuva Morcha leaders. Neither CM Biplab Deb directly condemned the attack on the newspaper office by his party workers, nor the culprits were arrested yet even after 3 days gone. Police sources said that the police are ready to take stern action against the culprits but they have been under severe pressure since the incident occured and they were directly ordered by CM Biplab Deb's people not to take action against anyone on the 8th September incident. However, PB24 channel anchor Prasenjit Saha who was severely injured in BJP's attack during vandalism of the office has started his regular talk show (telephonic conversation programme), but he held the show on Friday evening under the open sky of the capital city Agartala as the office left with only debris.

The newspaper and TV channel Editor Anal Roy Chowdhury is not only going to the Court but also appealing for compensation to the tribunal, a law which was amended by the Tripura Govt recently to facilitate the people undergoing similar losses. The law also confirmed severe punishment to the rioters.

FIRs were lodged against 3 top BJP leaders for the attack - 1) Rajib Bhattacharjee, 2) Tinku Roy, 3) Papia Datta.
