Students' Protests increased massively under Ratan Lal Nath due to Sudden Decisions by Education Dept and Slumber Attitudes to Students' Grievance : College Students' statewide Protest held on Thursday against Exam Postponement

AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): From recruitment related decisions to Education related matters, Tripura Govt's sudden decisions have turned students and youths' lives miserable. No other state faces that much complex situations like Tripura is facing now. From Board exam related decisions to College exam decisions, every time any sudden decision, postponement erupts tension in the state and in the last one month many times, students were injured in police brutality while agitating with their legitimate demands. Today in various colleges throughout the state, students have placed deputation to the College Principals demanding their examinations in time. The issue erupted as just 1 week before online exams, Tripura University had postponed all exams under its Board. From Agartala to Belonia, Students have demanded that exams should be held in the due time and in online mode.

On December 24, a student was injured in tussle with police when the teachers' training undergoing students were protesting peacefully at Education Dept. Their demand was also same that is "exams should be held at the earliest" in online mode.

 Tripura University students and College students who are under the University have been undergoing tensions due to the sudden decision of the University to postpone the examinations. Tripura University whose rank has gone down in the last few years is facing massive criticism since its decision to postpone the exams. Various student organizations have protested against the decision and students statewide  are protesting but the University has not taken any final decision. As a result, many College students are in tension as their admission chances in other Universities are stuck. 
Talking to the media, a student of the Ramthakur College said, "Our examinations were scheduled to be held on September 6. We demand our exams should be completed by that time. We have already taken preparations for the exams but suddenly the University has changed its decision. Many students want to take admission in other Universities or institutions but we need our marks for that but without examinations, we will not get any new admission. So we demand, our exams should be held as per the schedule". 

Another student said, "We are trying to take admission in other states' colleges but now with the postponement it has turned as a shock for us. Suddenly our exams are postponed. We demand, the University take our exams and finish the process at the earliest". 

Students demand online mode examinations.
