AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Trinamool has alleged that party's newly joined members have been attacked in Tripura amid various joining programmes are going on in the state. Today, 106 members have joined, followed by 3 joining programmes held yesterday. Talking to media in today's joining programme, Trinamool MP Santanu Deb said, "Today's joining programme has a significance. The day before yesterday, many voters had joined Trinamool. Out of them, Jalil Mia who also joined Trinamool, was brutally attacked. The miscreants attacked on him and broke his head".

"Recently Bengal Minister Moloy Ghatak visited injured Trinamool leader Tapan Datta's home who was attacked on Independence Day at Sabroom with MP Dola Sen and Aparupa Poddar. After that Tapan Datta was again threatened. I am going to his home again. The message by our gesture and through the joining programme is very clear that we stand with Trinamool members", Sen said.

"BJP can not suppress the Trinamool by attacking. Trinamool means grass-flower. More you cut, the faster it grows. So by attacking, BJP is helping Trinamool in grooming", said the MP.
