AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): Bapi Ghosh, who proclaimed self as an employee of Power Department and collecting Electricity bills, was arrested by Police.

It is learned that a person who proclaimed self as an employee of Ambasa Electricity Department has been collecting electricity bills from consumer’s house in Kathalbari area. For a long time, the person had been cheating the TSECL consumers by collecting Electricity bills without receipt.

The news reached the officials of the Ambasa State Electricity Department and finally with the help of the locals, police arrested the cheater on Tuesday from Ambassa Kathalbari area.

He was brought to the Power Department and later he was handed over to the police of Ambasa PS after interrogation.
