Man suspected to be a CPI-M activist was severely beaten by BJP miscreants in front of Bishalgarh CPI-M party office

AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN): On Monday a protest program was organized by the CPIM at Bishalgarh CPIM party office in protest of the Agriculture Bill. At that time, a young man identified as Sayan Ghosh (20) was waiting for a car in front of the CPI (M) party office to visit his relative's house when a group of miscreants suddenly attacked Sayan Ghosh. They suspected that he is a CPIM worker and is being beaten by 10 to 12 youths allegedly from ruling BJP party.
Hearing his screams, locals rushed to the spot. Seeing the people coming, the miscreants fled from the spot. Later the locals informed victim's family members. After receiving the news, his father immediately rushed to the spot and took him to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. Sayon's father said he had been injured in several places on his head, chest and back.
