AGARTALA, August 6 (TIWN): One after another daring theft cases amid Covid curfew raises question on Tripura Police's role and common people’s safety are being questioned.
The victim house owner Sandha Pal Bhowmik said she lost her husband 9 months ago and since then she started staying along with her two daughters at her house in Joynagar, Peari Master Bagan. But last night, amid curfew, thieves looted bronze and brass items from her house. Not only that the thieves spit in the entire floor and wall and ransacked all the stuff in the house.
With huge resentment the victim said, “The way thieves looted household items this time it can be assumed that someday thieves would kill them. She also raised questions on the role of Police administration amid curfew.
Meanwhile, the house owner alleged that several times she called Battala outpost Phone but the Police did not respond. Later Police told the family that the Phone was dead last night.
