AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): After opposition party activists, 10323 terminated teachers now even the students weren't spared from police brutality in Tripura. A lot of students including girls were injured in tussle with police after they gheraoed Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath's residence over TBSE Madhyamik result alleged scam. The agitation have started statewide after the TBSE Madhyamik came out. The students have raised question, "Without taking examination how can they declare us failed?" The agitating students also alleged that a huge scam has been occurred in the result as many students who have scored less than them in school examination were given pass certificate by TBSE.
With the demand of 100% pass in TBSE Madhyamik, the students on Tuesday staged agitation infront of Ratan Lal Nath's house. They wanted to meet him and discuss about their demands. But the Tripura police, as always, started forcefully arresting them, pushing them on road. Many students sustained injuries in the tussle with police.
While interacting with media an injured girl cried and said, "We don't want such Education Minister. We don't want such police also who doesn't even spare students. They are hitting us. What was our fault?"
A lot of students were arrested by police only for peacefully staging their demands infront of Education Minister's house. In democracy, everyone has the right to protest against the government in a peaceful way. But in Tripura, the state BJP govt under the leadership of CM Biplab Deb has always seen stamping out the voices of agitators in an indecisive way.
