BJP activists attacked Trinamool General Secretary Abhishek Bandopadhya's convoy after CM Biplab Deb's 'Atithi Devo Bhava' statement

AGARTALA, Aug 2 (TIWN): The TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee who just have arrived in the State on Monday, have accused Chief Minister Biplab Deb for creating lawlessness situation in the state. Banerjee has shared a video on Twitter where the BJP activists are seen attacking his convoy while reaching to Mata Tripureswari Temple in Udaipur.
The BJP workers tried to stop Abhishek Banerjee's convoy multiple times on the way to the Tripureshwari temple from the Agartala airport.
Banerjee's convoy was first stopped at Charilam in West Tripura district as protesting BJP workers raised slogans, trying to block the road. And then the BJP workers of udaipur has attacked his car with the batons of their party flag, causes damages to the vehicle.
While twitting the video of attack Banerjee addressed CM Biplab Deb and captioned, "Democracy in Tripura under @BJP4India rule! Well done @BjpBiplab for taking the state to new heights"
Few days ago, on being asked about the illegal house arrest of I-PAC team by Tripura govt, CM Biplab Deb said that it was to maintain the Covid protocols, otherwise the BJP led Tripura govt welcomes everyone in the State with warm heart. For them, the guests are equivalent to God (Atithi Devo Bhava).
