AGARTALA, December 19 (TIWN): People of Kumari tilla today submitted a deputation to the Governor of Tripura Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya demanding to look into the illegal eviction drive by the AMC personnel in the Kumari tilla area.
Speaking to the reporters Advocate Vidyut Ghosh said the AMC is trying to evacuate the people of the Kumari tilla illegally. They AMC authorities don’t have any right to evacuate these people, he added.
He criticized the CPIM led state government over issues of spurious-drug, atrocities against women, corruption, malfunctioning of PDS, chit fund, deterioration of law and order, underdevelopment of tribal people and deprivation of employees during the agitation.
Advocate Vidyut Ghosh also criticized the tight-lipped gesture of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar over the increasing crimes and vowed to intensify party’s agitation across the state. He also urged the public to condemn the role of Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio.
The 21-year misrule has resulted in the state being labeled the least developed state in the country. Corruption has mushroomed in every sphere, he claimed.
