Farmers sought Govt's help to overcome losses

CHARILAM, July 1 (TIWN): Farmers have sought compensation as their crops are fully damaged due to heavy raining.
In Sepahijala District's various parts lands were submerged with water due to flood like situation erupted there. Houses have gone under water and ponds or other water bodies are overflowing causing massive losses for the farmers. From Govt side, initial food arrangement was done. Asking a local about what help was offered by the Govt, she said, only "Chira" (rice flake) and "Gur" (a local sweet item) were given.
Local Panchayat also distribute house to house cooked food (Khichuri) in the morning.
