AGARTALA, June 13 (TIWN): The epidemic has taken a terrible turn in the country and the state. With the increase in COVID positive cases, the number of deaths is increasing day by day. Despite, various restrictions imposed by the Government, the general public seems to stay reluctant, inviting the deadly virus. An overflowing crowd of people was witnesses at Bishalgarh Sub-divisional hospital today aged between 18-45 years who went there to get vaccinated. The unfortunate thing is that the people standing in line were seen not obeying the basic COVID protocols. There was no social distance and some of the people were not wearing masks even.

Few steps from the sub-divisional hospital lie the Bishalgarh PS but the police were not seen anywhere inside the hospital premises to handle the crowd. They were rather seen busy checking the vehicles at Uttam Bhakta Chaumuni to collect the fines.    Seeing the crowd in the hospital, it seems that both the common people and the administration are not paying attention to the government ban.     The conscious community is terrified to see today's scenario and demanded the police should play a proper role to handle the crowd.
