AGARTALA 12 June (TIWN): Reportedly, Haradhan Dhar, a 70-year-old man, was released from the post-covid ward of the Agartala GB Hospital as he has no family he was first taken to Belonia hospital and from there he was sent to the Sabroom hospital. But the old man died on the way to Sabroom from Belonia.
After the body was brought by ambulance to Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital, the dead body of the old man was left for 3-4 hours. Later when the media personnel went to Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital the body was taken to the emergency room. Panic generated among the patient parties at the hospital when they saw a corpse lying at the sub-divisional hospital premises. The image of negligence of the doctors came up again in Sabroom Sub-Divisional Hospital.
The on-duty doctor Tamal Roy said the man was dead when he was brought to Sabroom Hospital. He has informed the police and since the death was unnatural, post mortem cannot be done without the presence of family members.
However, the inhuman aspect of the on-duty doctors at the hospital was observed centering the lying dead body in the hospital for hours.
