AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): Countering Tripura Govt's tall claims about "fixing" private hospital charges for Corona treatment, CPI-M senior leader Pabitra Kar on Saturday has lashed out at the BJP led State Govt for "pushing patients to private hospitals''. Voicing the "inequality" in Covid Treatment based on Private and Govt hospitals, Pabitra Kar said, "Govt should overcome its DO-NUMBRI policy and by developing infrastructure it should give free treatment for all Covid patients". Pabitra Kar was addressing on World Environment Day and Farmers' national protest today when reacted against the over Covid management in Tripura.

He further said, "PM Modi has started talking again as per his style but fact is his Govt is only responsible for Covid 2nd wave's grip in India. Today the highest numbers of cases are in India and the nation is experiencing the highest numbers of deaths too. At the same time, poor people are starving. For health infrastructure development, nothing happened in the last 6 months in our state. In Tripura,  only little sized ration packets are distributed whereas the Govt must ensure free ration, food at sufficient amounts for all and at least Rs. 7,500 per month should be given to the poor. Why are the oximeters given only in Banamalipur but not in the whole Tripura ?"

"Our party (CPI-M) are working for sanitization, ration distribution........the Govt's action is nil", Kar told media.
