AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): “In most parts of the state, several cases have been filed against the opposition party leaders to make unnecessary harassments. A similar case has been registered at Amtali PS against me. I have come here along with my lawyer, Adv Bhaskar Deb for preliminary interrogation.”

“My first post was regarding the Badharghat incident where I wrote, House-to-house attacks are taking place in Bhadharghat area. If the police do not take action, I call on the people of the area to resist this unitedly.

My second post stated, ‘Resist where the attack is'. Although I did not mention any party or any leader’s name on my posts, a case has been registered against me which clearly defines the conspiracy of the ruling party and by doing this today it has proved that the party is supporting violence in the state”, said Bijan Dhar.

However, frequent violent attacks are continuing in our state on journalists, doctors, opposition party leaders, and activists but saddeningly the police have always played a blind role despite being present on spot.
