AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): Tripura has recorded 13 deaths in a single day and the positivity rate has been also at up. In last 24 hours, total 11,237 Covid tests were done and 783 positive cases have been detected. AMC Commissioner Dr.Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal held meeting with the Battala Crematorium incharge and directed about the guidelines, sanitization rules in the crematorium. "Corona Curfew" has been continuing throughout Tripura due to the increasing Covid-19 cases. Like Agartala Municipal Corporation areas, in whole Tripura also after 12 noon, all essential commodities shops have put under orders to be shutdown. The Cabinet on May 25 has decided to extend Covid Curfew up to 5th June in Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) areas and urban areas and to start Corona Curfew in whole Tripura from yesterday.
While announcing curfew for whole Tripura Minister Ratanlal Nath said, "All urban areas of the AMC will be under Curfew from tomorrow and rest of the state will go under curfew from 27th May with same rules".
Briefing media, Ratan Lal Nath said, "Viewing the public safety, cabinet has taken the decision to extend the Curfew. It has included other urban areas also and from 27th May other non-urban areas have also been lined under the curfew. Grocery shops, vegetable, non-vegetable markets like essential services' shops will be opened from 6 AM to 12 Noon.
