AGARTALA, May 25 (TIWN): BJP led Tripura Govt has appointed teachers for Covid War Room management and teachers are talking to the patients, collecting data and then managing things. However, practically how far war rooms are working, it is yet too fast to judge in the middle of the public's massive grievance over Covid management throughout the state. When Teachers were appointed as War Room management, Tripura's thousands of unemployed nurses, doctors and other medical background youths remained jobless. This decision of making teachers as Covid warriors was taken after Education Minister Ratanlal Nath was given charge of Covid management by Biplab Deb Govt.
On the other hand, massive mismanagements, lack of hygiene are being reported in Covid care centres and Tripura Govt has permitted opening of a private Covid care centre for those who can afford the charges.
Tripura now has 3 Covid War Rooms : 1) West Tripura, 2) Dhalai, 3) Sepahijala Districts.
Today Minister Ratanlal Nath checked the setting and management of war rooms.
Over one thousand seven hundred teachers are working in war rooms and also in control rooms, Vaccinations right now, said the Minister.
Talking to the media, Minister Ratanlal Nath further said that the Covid cases' numbers may increase in the state.
However, though Ratanlal Nath claimed in India nowhere teachers were appointed like Tripura, but it is also a wrong claims as in Kerala teachers were appointed already in war rooms but they have been "additional" staff.
