AGARTALA, May 21 (TIWN): 10323 Teachers' Death toll has risen to 96 as one more teacher has died. 10323 Teacher Nandita Debbarma was ill for many days and repeatedly she was hospitalized. Recently she had fallen sick and was admitted in GB hospital but she passed away today and she was declared as Covid-19. CM Biplab Deb promised Rs. 10 lakhs for the Covid death victims though nobody has received that amount. With her death, the death toll has risen to a total 96. The Joint Movement Committee (JMC) has condoled her unexpectable demise who was already living in her parents' homes in depression and carrying a financial crisis in her life. It has been more than a year that the 10323 teachers are left jobless.
The ruling BJP Party which had promised to solve 10323 teachers' problems has failed to keep its promise. The teachers lost jobs after the Supreme Court's verdict in 2017 and then they worked for few years in ad-hoc but the 10323 teachers have complained that the verdict was misinterpreted and their terminations never happened.
The Left and the BJP parties both promised to solve their problems once voted to power and after the 2018 Assembly Poll, BJP came into power but it also failed to keep its promise given to 10323 teachers.
