AGARTALA, May 14 (TIWN): Tripura observed Akshay Tritiya on Friday. Akshay Tritiya is considered to be an auspicious day from many aspects. At Agartala Laxmi Narayan Bari devotees, businessmen, households rushed to offer prayers and perform yearly rituals. Due to Covid-19 however like other festivals, this festival also remained without much celebrations like non-Covid years. 

As per the beliefs, it is said that this is the best time for those who are suffering from obstacles at work and other ventures or those who are not getting any other auspicious muhurat to perform sacred deeds.

Akshay Tritiya is believed to be the festival for accomplishing enormous prosperity. Sacred deeds, charity, donations, austerities, holy bath etc have special significance on this day. Taking bath in holy rivers such as Ganga, Yamuna is considered very auspicious.
