AGARTALA, April 30 (TIWN): On the 9th day of Night Curfew, Police said that 95% people are following the rules regarding COVID-19 Curfew but few hooligans are always present to trouble. "By coming out of homes after 10 pm you are increasing your troubles only.......", SDPO Sadar Ramesh Yadav (IPS) asked violators to follow Curfew guidelines. He also said that the rules will be followed seriously and so the people must follow the rules. With the increasing COVID-19 cases in Tripura along with the whole nation, the Night Curfew has been extended from 10 PM to 5 AM in state. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar has issued an order in this regard. This decision was taken after on yesterday Tripura reported 0.50% COVID positivity rise.

As per the rule now - Corona night curfew imposed from 10 PM to 5 AM in Agartala Municipal Corporation area, will be extended up to 31st May,2o2l. Medical and other emergency needs and persons to maintain essential services like health, police, security, poMer supply, drinking water supply, media etc may be exempted. DM (West) will issue order under section L44 CrPC with specific conditions for compliance. Wide publicity will be done of the order and strict enforcement measures will be taken.  

Restriction of gatherings: 1. Organisation of all types of super spreading events like social / political / sports/ entertainment / academic / cultural / festival related congregations should be restricted. The organizer will take prior permission from the district administration for the programmes with such condition as deemed fit.

2. In closed spaces, a maximum of 5O% of the seating I hall capacity should allowed for any social, cultural, entertainment on political gathering with a ceiling of 1OO persons. In open spaces, higher numbers may be allowed based on the size of the ground / space with a ceiling of 200 persons. Wearing of face masks, maintaining social distancing and provision of hand wash or sanitizer will be mandatory. The organisers will deploy sufficient no. of volunteers / staffs to regulate the crowd and enforcement of norms of social distancing and wearing of mask.

3. Maximum 1O0 persons may be allowed in marriage /birthday & other social functions both in public or private place.

4. Maximum 20 persons should be allowed in funeral / last rites related gathering. 5. Movie halls I multiplexes will function at 5o% capacity. 6. Persons above the age of 65 are advised to remain indoors unless required to go for essential services. Others may be advised to curtail unnecessary movement and avoid crowded places.
