AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): Paralyzed health services state-wide, labour pain pregnant woman suffered for treatment. Over poor health service and Doctors negligence resentment observed among patient parties in Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.
It is learned that Joy Prakash Bhowmik, a resident of Sekerkote Champamura area admitted his pregnant wife Anamika Bhowmik to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital at 9 am today. She was in excessive labor pain but at around 12 noon, the on-duty Doctor informed Anamika's husband, Joy Prakash that it would not be possible to start operation in Bishalgarh hospital. The patient party should take the patient to Agartala IGM Hospital.
When the husband, Jayaprakash asked for an ambulance from the hospital authorities, he was informed there is no ambulance present in the hospital. After a while he was again informed from the hospital that there is no ambulance driver present.
Meanwhile, the patient was seen in labor pains in the hospital premises.
The patient’s husband called 102 and an ambulance reached the hospital premises after a long 45 minutes.
Such type of harassment is nothing new, earlier patient parties too faced harassment for improper services in Bishalgarh Sub-divisional hospital. Amid various allegations against the Bishalgarh Sub-divisional hospital no changes were seen in providing better service.
