AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, it has been known that at least 31 Coronavirus infected patients have escaped from PRTI COVID Care Centre in Agartala. This incident has created turmoil in the police department. Getting information various teams of police have started work on the ground and searches are going on. A higher police official informed the media that various Railway Stations up to Guwahati have been put under surveillance to find out the escaped patients. On being asked about whether it was a lack of security, police said that security forces were in front of the building and moreover, such incidents had been unprecedented and never happened earlier. The patients used a broken window to escape, said police.
Right now the police officials are focusing on finding out the escaped patients as they are under severe risks not only for themselves but for others who will come in contact with them.
Police suspect that the escaped patients are nowhere nearby but already have gone far but wherever they are to trace them, the Police Dept is working now. From today in Tripura also night curfew has been imposed as COVID cases in rise tallying around 600.

Yesterday, Tripura Health Dept issued a notification directing the passengers who will be coming to Tripura from 24th April must carry COVID Negative test report in hands or they will undergo COVID-test in the Agartala MBB Airport.
