AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): Joining TTAADC Oath Taking ceremony, Tripura Congress President Pijush Biswas has blamed the previous Left Front for the reason why ADC is lagging yet behind. When BJP boycotted the ceremony and elected members did not take oath today, talking to the media, Congress President Pijush Biswas said, "First of all, I like to congratulate the newly elected members of TTAADC. People have lots of hopes from the Maharaja. I hope the council will perform in the direction of development. Tripura ADC's biggest problems have been the water crisis, roadways, health services. These issues should be taken care of properly. As an opposition leader these will be my demand on behalf of my Congress party".He further blamed the previous Left Front administration alleging it has failed to develop the ADC. "CPI-M has totally failed to solve the problem of the people of the ADC. The funds could not be utilized for public welfare under the Left Era", added Pijush Biswas.

Pradyot Manikya is the Royal scion and also ex-Congress President who quitted Congress to serve the indigneous population. His newly formed political party TIPRA MOTHA has achieved a landslide victory defeating ruling BJP and IPFT in ADC Poll. 

Elected members of the BJP party were not seen in the programme. Also, no party leader from BJP joined the ceremony. IPFT leaders also skipped the programme but Minister Mebar Jamatia had attended the programme. When Congress President Pijush Biswas attended the oath taking function, again no leader from CPI-M party was spotted.

Reacting over BJP's boycotting of oath taking alleging post poll violence, Pradyot Manikya said that he does not want to go to any political fight with any party but he just wants to focus on development and the affected families will be compensated as per announcement. 

Pradyot Manikya also confirms that the white paper will be implemented soon where funding and expenditure will be transparent.
