AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): Tripura's per capita income which is at 1.23 lakhs as per GDP rate and West Bengal is at 1.15 if compared to the market values, West Bengal people are living in much luxury due to super-low rates of various commodities. GDP here does not qualify as per capita income at all if seen practically as people in Tripura are dying in starvation and committing suicides due to poverty and debts. For example here big fish like Rohu are sold at Rs. 160 whereas in Tripura it's at least Rs. 500.

In case of vegetables a family can eat health at Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1500 per month if expended whereas in Tripura vegetable prices are too high as Govt has no control over the markets. Tripura might have forgotten whereas at Rs. 5 also vegetables are sold and at Rs. 3 also transport fares exist like West Bengal.

Today's Vegetable market report in Agartala : Vegetable crisis and high prices reported across Tripura with a continuous hike-maintained price tags affecting both the sellers and the consumers.

Whereas Agartala markets are dependent upon exported items at the same time semi-urban and urban areas are suffering due to lack of vegetable and high prices.

Vegetable sellers are undergoing heavy losses in Agartala due to lack of buyers.

The reason behind lack of buyers are however the extreme price of vegetables but in Gol Bazar, where price stays little down all the time, numbers of buyers are also less.

The vegetables collections are also less as the shop-keepers are unable to sell the stored vegetable items. West Bengal teachers basic salary is 42,000. Can Biplab Deb compare his state with this ?
