AGARTALA, March 10 (TIWN): Sitting frustrated in a press meet after the BJP-IPFT alliance is now a common fate for IPFT's Assistant General Secretary cum spokesperson Mangal Debbarma.

Not only BJP's Janajati-Morcha but a major section of the IPFT members are too resented over alliance between BJP and IPFT whose ideological Chemistry is against each other and courted hundreds of bloody-clashes in last 3 years.

Sources informed, over Journalist Santanu Bhoumik murder case and CBI threat, IPFT top-leaders though were ready to leave TIPRA party but were not ready to compromise with any seat. IPFT is fighting in 17 seats whereas BJP in 14 and out of those 14 seats, 3 seats will witness BJP and IPFT both candidates. Moreover, the youth section of the IPFT this time wanted that IPFT should not align with BJP.

This created massive infighting in these parties and BJP's damage was highest at the party unity.

It was a time when IPFT General Secretary Ananta Debbarma like leaders quitted IPFT over NC Debbarma and Mebar Jamatia's compromise with BJP even after massive election rigging, attacks on IPFT by the BJP in local body polls and Lok Sabha poll later. Mangal Debbarma multiple times gave statements saying, BJP has cheated IPFT. But each time, the break up was repaired, Mangal Debbarma looked pale and frustrated and it was visible in the last press meet of BJP and IPFT held yesterday at Agartala Press Club where Mangal Debbarma was seated pale-faced.
