AGARTALA, Feb 25 (TIWN): A huge numbers of BJP activists today morning held severe attacks in former Minister Badal Choudhury's home, who was earlier also harassed in many cases by Biplab Deb Govt but no chargesheet could be filed by police against Badal Choudhury either in Flyover construction work or in National Highway projects.

Now, alleging Rose Valley scam links with the former Minister cum MLA Badal Choudhury, BJP led by Yuva Morcha and Mohila Morcha activists held attacks on Badal Choudhury's home in Belonia, though the MLA was in Agartala.

Condemning the attack, CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das said, "Instead of doing all these, why the Central BJP Govt is not sending CBI for investigations ? CBI today is being used against the opposition across the country. Everyone knows that but still we demand, right now CBI should be sent here and probe if it can. From Journalist Santanu murder case to Chit Fund, CBI was just assured but no investigation as done".

It can be mentioned here that Tripura Assembly Deputy Speaker, BJP MLA Biswabandhu Sen was also equally accused of joining in Rose Valley programme in Left Govt's era. In Santanu murder case also, where IPFT's MLA name along 500 activists names were included, CBI did not investigate further.

In this condition, CPI-M has asked the BJP Govt to call CBI and it does not want to make only drama and harass the senior leader.

Sources said, CPI-M to move High Court as repeated attacks are done on Badal Choudhury who is indeed one of the most honest leaders of the State, appreciated by opposition leaders in Left era.
