Man who made a woman pregnant with fake promise of marriage has been Punished with 13 Years Jail

AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN): After 8 years of incident, punishment was given to a man who made physical relation with a girl with fake promise of marriage and then after the girl became pregnant, he rejected to marry her. Justice Dhiman Debbarma has given this verdict.

The convicted criminal has been sent to 12 years jail along with 50,000 rupees fine under Section 376 and more 1 year under Section 417 with 10,000 rupees fine. This money will be fixed in a nationalized bank for 5 years for the child.
Also victims will get around Rs. 3 lakhs to Rs. 4 lakhs from the State Govt compensation sector.
Addl APP Aravinda Deb said that this case was suppressed for years but last year he found the pending case and worked hard to get justice for the victim. He also also appreciated the girl for her courage to fight against this cruel society and gave birth to her innocent child.
