AGARTALA, Feb 8 (TIWN): Various national media, media based in the Northeast and also of Neighboring Assam have criticized Tripura Govt's undemocratic style of attacks on the 10323 teachers. Now, another leading media 'Assam Live 24' has blasted BJP led State Govt in Tripura for barbaric attacks on 10323 teachers on Jan 27. While reporting, the media has quoted from human-rights that even marked criminals are not treated in India like the 10323 teachers have been treated. Broadcasting Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's statement before Tripura Assembly Election, the media criticized him for forgetting his promises to the 10323 teachers. Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who is now busy with his own state's election had promised terminated Tripura 10323 teachers to bring a new law for them to save their lives.
He said in 2018 that a file had been pending in the Law Dept, is now disappeared from state without answering the terminated teachers who are in jobless condition for last 10 months and were recently brutally attacked by Police after 52 days of protest.
Himanta Biswa Sarma’s pre-poll promises are now viral in social media who asked 10323 teachers to stop supporting CPI-M before the election as CPI-M could not do anything for them.
But after 3 years of BJP Govt formation in Tripura, he is unreachable for the victim teachers. 10323 teachers lost their jobs first in High Court, then in Supreme after courts found irregularities in their job recruitments.
BJP before election promised the teachers to solve their problems by changing a “portion” of the Education law only for Tripura.
Moreover, the teachers claimed that they never lost jobs as per the verdict's para 127 but State Govt has not taken the question.
In the meanwhile, many 10323 teachers died unnaturally due to tension, depression. The death toll has raised to 85.
Terminated 10323 teachers have demanded immediate solution to their ongoing problems about job uncertainty.
10323 teachers peaceful protest was stopped by force on January 27 after police led attacks on teachers under Biplab Deb's order. Now, the teachers have appealed the High Court for Protest-Permission.
