AGARTALA, Jan 2 (TIWN): Death toll among the 10323 teachers have increased to 78 now, as one more teacher Uttam Tripura has committed suicide due to mental depression. Joint Movement Committee have confirmed his death and said he has chosen death out of mental depression. "Extremely saddened to inform you all regarding the sad demise of One more teacher Lt. Uttam Tripura of Belonia. He was an UGT teacher at Chelagang primary school. Due to extreme mental depression he committed suicide. At this time of grief JMC pray for his departed soul and near and dear ones", announced JMC. This incident has erupted massive resentment among the terminated teachers who are protesting for long 27 days amid no sympathy was shown by Govt of Tripura and no call came from the Govt for discussion. The teachers have shown various legal points by which their jobs can be saved but keeping suspense, Tripura Govt is totally silence over the teachers agony when on the other side, ruling BJP Party continues physical, violent attacks upon the teachers.

When Tripura Govt is playing silent role over 10323 teachers protest which has fallen on Day 26 (yesterday), the teachers under Joint Movement Committee has met West District Education Officer Rupan Roy and told him that the teachers will go to schools for joining after 5 days if the Govt does not make any comment in these 5 days.

Meeting the West Dist Education office authority the teachers told him that the teachers will join schools from 6th January, saying, no teacher got termination letter till today. Teacher Bijoy Krisha Saha said, in notification also it is written that their jobs were seized, not terminated. Moreover, Supreme Court only terminated 462 teachers and not all, said the teacher.

The teachers to go to schools for joining on January 6, confirmed JMC. Calling a press meet at the agitation spot, teacher Bimal Saha said, if the Headmasters don't allow the teachers to join schools, then legal action will be taken against them as no termination letter was given to them and in totally illegal manner the teachers were terminated from their posts.
