10323 Teachers met District Educational Officers across Tripura : Announced to Join Schools on 6th January if Tripura Govt does not reappoint them by 5th January

AGARTALA, Jan 1 (TIWN): Amid Tripura Govt is playing silent role over 10323 teachers protest which has fallen on Day 26, the teachers under Joint Movement Committee has met West District Education Officer Rupan Roy and told him that the teachers will go to schools for joining after 5 days if the Govt does not make any comment in these 5 days. Met West Dist Education office authority the teachers told him that the teachers will join schools from 6th January, saying, no teacher got termination letter till today. Teacher Bijoy Krisha Saha said, in notification also it is written that their jobs were seized, not terminated. Moreover, Supreme Court only terminated 462 teachers and not all, said the teacher.

The teachers to go to schools for joining on January 6, confirmed JMC. Calling a press meet at the agitation spot, teacher Bimal Saha said, if the Headmasters don't allow the teachers to join schools, then legal action will be taken against them as no termination letter was given to them and in totally illegal manner the teachers were terminated from their posts.

Being jobless for 10 months, Joint Movement Committee had started their agitation of December 7 and today it is 26th day that the terminated teachers protest before Agartala City Centre but the State Govt has no concern yet forced 10323 Teachers' Joint Movement Committee convener Prasanta Debbarma to announce, if the Govt does not solve the teachers problems soon, then their protest will turn undemocratic and for that the State Govt will be responsible. "We just want to request you to solve our problems at the earliest. This is going beyond tolerance", said Prasanta Debbarma. He further urged all agitating teachers to stay united beyond political ideologies as all teachers' ultimate aim is to get jobs. In a message to the State Govt, Prasanta Debbarma said, "It is your problem how you will solve our problems but do it now, whatever you want to do to save us".
