AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): On the initiative of the West District Committee of the Tripura Scheduled Castes Coordinating Committee, a mass deputation was made to the District Magistrate demanding 13 points.

Their key demands are: to increase the daily wage of MGM Rega and to arrange 200 days of work for them; Social pension should be increased to Rs. 2000 from Rs. 1000; To fill all vacancies in all government and semi-government departments; Electricity should not be privatized. Increased electricity charges will have to be withdrawn; To repair the roads of Old Simna Bajar to Khowai Chowmuhani. To construct Kamalghat school stadium. To reform Khayerpur to Amtaili Bypass road immediately; to arrange alternative employment for 10323 teachers; to realize stipend for SC/ST students; Scheduled Caste Unemployed Youth to be provided loan on easy terms from SC Corporation
