Prasenjit Saha Lynching Case : Eminent Advocate Purushottom Roy Barman met bereaved family

AGARTALA, Dec 26 (TIWN): Tripura High Court's eminent advocate Purushottom Roy Barman has met family of lynched victim late Prasenjit Saha who was killed by miscreants at GB Bazar, Agartala.

Prasenjit was only 20 years old, was a worker of welding has left his 19 years old wife alone. He was the only son of his parents. 

Reportedly, on Saturday he came out of his home after having a glass of milk and biscuits given by his wife. But Prasenjit did not return home. Tensed family members started search for Prasenjit and informed police. 

Along police officials, Prasenjit's family identified his dead body, with severe injuries at GB hospital 

Prasenjit was in GB Bazar in injured condition for hours. At around 10 am, Fire Brigade was informed but he died during treatment.

Reacting over Prasenjit's lynching incident, Purushottom Roy Barman said "Only cowards kill a man like this. When real thieves roam open in broad day light, they can't do anything but Prasenjit like innocent man has to die in their hands. In front of Prasenjit's family, my head was bowing down in shame". 

Purushottom Roy Barman also condemned the role of police as they have only arrested two persons so far. 

On behalf of 'Human Rights Organization', Purushottom Roy Barman has expressed extreme sorrows over the incident. He also assured legal supports to the family. 

The Human Rights Organization demanded Rs. 5 lakhs of compensation to Prasenjit's family.
