AGARTALA, Dec 24 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has continued his attempts to damage MLA Sudip Barman by hook and crook even after BJP High Command's warning given to Biplab Deb.

In a shocking update it has been known that under CM Biplab Deb's Health Dept an FIR was filed against 6-Agartala MLA Sudip Roy Barman for installing former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's statue in cancer hospital, which comes under his constituency. Even 3 decorators were also arrested. 

The cancer hospital was visited by MLA Sudip Roy Bamran 2 days back and took initiative to install the statue of Atal Bihari Vajpayee ahead of his birth anniversary.

While serving as health minister, MLA Sudip Roy Barman declared to rename State’s Regional Cancer Hospital as Atal Bihari Vajpayee memorial hospital. But after few months Sudip Barman was sacked from the health ministry by Biplab Deb and the statue was never installed.

However, the statue of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was to be unveiled on December 25 in the presence of Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman, other MLAs, and dignitaries, it was reported in media. CM Biplab Deb was invited as the chief guest. But even after that, such actions have shocked the MLA.

Talking to MLA Sudip Barman he said, this is not first time but whenever he attempted to do any good work, legal actions were taken against him.

Now an FIR was filed against MLA Sudip Barman by Gautam Majumder, superintendent of Atal Bihari Vajpayee regional cancer centre, alleging, no permission was taken from State Govt for installation of the idol of the ex-PM.
