TEPANIA/UDAIPUR,December 4 (TIWN): From the very beginning of the construction of Gomati District Hospital it was alleged that substandard materials were used by the construction agency.

But neither Health Dept nor state govt paid the least care to oversee the construction process. As a result of it with in two years Gomati District Hospital starts to ourburst all its corruption and irregularities. And in view of this a team of Youth Congres may the Medical Super of Gomati District Hospital Dr Sibapada Chakraborty with a deputation. On Thursday the Youth Congress delegation was bled by R K Pur Block Youth Congress President Anup Sarkar, Udaipur District Congress General Secretary Tridib Kanti Das, Woman Congress leader Bhramar Kanti Son, Youth Congress leader Rezaul Islam.

       The demands include:

1) To start ICU, MRI, Citiscan , sophisticated pathological lab facilities immediately in Gomati District Hospital

2) Resume the pathological and Operation Theatre services ( for the last ten days these facilities were suspended)

3) AC and Non-AC cabin facilities in district hospital

4) At least 10 beded CCU in District Hospital

5) At least 3 specialist doctors in each department in District Hospital

6) Canteen, lavatory, Rest House and Purified Drinking Water facilities for the patient parties and relatives

7) Immediate resumption of Smart Card services

8) Increase the number of beds for the admitted pregnant and would be mothers

9) Improvement of transportation facilities in Udaipur Town and District Hospital

10) To reappoint the sweepers who were recently terminated from their jobs or to manage an alternative job opportunity for them

      Speaking to TIWN over phone on Thursday night Udaipur District Congress General Secretary Tridib Kanti Das said," From the very beginning web were complaining that the construction agency was using substandar materials in Destruction Hospital. But neither administration nor District Hospital authorities took the least care to investigate But now everything is clear as the laboratory services remain suspended as the laboratory itself is unhygienic with water comes directly inside the lab room through the pipeline. Moreover, the plasters of the laboratory room have already started to collapse. " Tridib Kanti Das further said that as proposed by the District Hospital Authorities  R K Pur MLA sanctioned a fund from his MLAs constituency area development fund to construct a purified drinking water tank for the patients and their relatives coming to this hospital. But simply under the pressure from a section of ruling party leaders the fund sanctioned by the R K Pur MLA remains unused. Tridib Kanti Das told this correspondent ," We too want that the District Hospital starts to work in full-fledged. At the same time healthcare services in Tripura Sundari Sub Divisional Hospital must be resumed immediately. It will also reduce the pressure from the District Hospital. Recently some of the beds were taken to the vehicle to be shifted to the District Hospital. Fortunately our workersbgit the news and somehow prevented this. But during the inaugural programme of District Hospital the then  Heath Minister Tapan Chakraborty declared that not even needle or thread will be shifted from Tripurasunadri Hospital. But now the Health Ministry lacks from decision making power.
