AGARTALA, Dec 23 (TIWN): Holding a meeting over 10323 Teachers' issue, former CM Manik Sarkar has requested Chief Minister Biplab Deb to revive the 13,000 posts which were created by the then Left Govt but could not appoint them under that Government due to Supreme Court's stay order put on that time, which was later withdrawn.

After meeting with CM Biplab Deb, ex-CM Manik Sarkar told press that discussion took place over how to help the 10323 teachers who are in protest amid extreme cold weather for long 17 days.

The former CM also has requested Biplab Deb to meet the agitating teachers once and talk to them.

Sarkar said, when the 13,000 non-teaching posts' revival demand was raised, CM mentioned about the experience asked from the job aspirants for those posts. Manik Sarkar then told Biplab Deb that those posts were made as per the guidelines of the Central Govt's Educational policies.

The 10323 teachers are in protest for long 17 days at City Centre, Agartala seeking their livelihood. BJP before election promised to solve 10323 teachers issues and to bring amendments to make continuation of their jobs but for long 9 months, the teachers are unemployed and BJP Govt has failed to keep its promise given to the teachers.
