AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): After more than 2 and half years of BJP Govt's formation in Tripura, pre-election promise about regularization of contractual workers, yet could not be fulfilled led the contractual Health Workers to go in strike on yesterday.
This strike has been called on for an indefinite period but later it was withdrawan giving an ultimatum of 15 days to the Govt.
Due to the strike, Health Services had been effected although the leaders of the agitators have ensured now that there will be no disruption to the the emergency services.
The contractual employees sat in agitation are with DRW, Casual, DRB staffs. Around thousand workers are in contractual jobs under DRW, Casual and DRB but already 40 to 50 workers already died without getting any benefit from the Govt.
