AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb in welcoming programme of bureaucrats in his state has told them that whatever he will do as a Chief Minister should be considered as "Correct", but it is the duty of the bureaucrats to make it legal. This unconstitutional order was given in front of all newly appointed TCS officers amid Chief Minister was found neck-deep involved in various scams in last 2.5 years. From National Highway tender scam to Cancer Drug Medicine purchasing scam all came under Biplab Deb's Dept and when those illegal things came out, now Deb has clearly told the bureaucrats to make any of his work as "legal". It's also mentionable, various top IAS officers went in retirement (voluntarily) as Biplab Deb was illegally trying misuse the power of the IAS.
However, when nationwide many officials are jailed, punished and under trial after they signed in illegal things, whether, Tripura bureaucrats will work illegally with the CM it's questionable.
In this condition, the new IAS TCS Officers futures are bleak under Biplab Deb Govt. Recently IPS officers Association held a meeting to work independently beyond political pressure. In this situation, how far the bureaucrats will be able to hold the Democracy in the state it's questionable as earlier state experienced massive Election rigging with blind eyes of Home Dept officials and also Election Commission of India.
