AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): One of the terminated 10323 teachers has committed suicide, triggered massive resentment among his colleagues. The former teachers announced about the suicide incident amid a protest this week. Tensions have been escalated across 10323 teachers families' who are in jobless situation for last 7 months under Supreme Court's order and the tensions are being fueled with Banks are pressuring them for loan interests. In this situation there is a massive dragging of dialogues between the ruling BJP Govt and the terminated teachers because the BJP since from 2018 Assembly Election season had promised the teachers to save their livelihoods with a permanent solution if BJP voted to power. But in 2020, 31st March as per law although the teachers lost their jobs but the Govt could not save their livelihoods as per the promises.
Teachers now have demanded a relief from bank loan interests and also staged protest at the Gramin Bank Headquarter for that. They said their next protest will be unique, massive and such protests would have not been seen by Tripura people.
Earlier, the 10323 teachers had accused Education Minister Ratanlal Nath behind deaths of 10323 teachers with the toll number neared 70. The teachers said, around 74 of the 10323 teachers are dead and maximum died out of job-tensions.
After day-long protests on 3rd November, the 10323 teachers have met the Gramin Bank Manager at Radhanagar branch and placed deputation seeking immediate stopping of imposing interests on the loans they had taken.
The 10323 teachers said, the manager had accepted their deputation and assured that he will talk about their problems with the Chairman.
