AGARTALA, Nov 4 (TIWN): As much as the administration is trying to fix the prices of items in Tripura, the local markets are reeling under high charges of items.
As Diwali is known as the festival of light, so candle lighting is the culture in state Tripura like many other countries of the state. Diwali is known as the ending of Bengalis annual festival. But, high prices of candles have hit the local markets.
However, talking to a the factory owner, he said that this year due to lockdown, COVID-19, the workers could work properly and thus manufacturing was halted. In this situation the manufacturing is less than the demand.
He also mentioned that few shopkeepers are taking extra charges from buyers whereas from the factory they have purchased at same rate like before.
