AGARTALA, Sep 24 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratanlal Nath now has blamed the CPI-M behind 10323 Teachers Protests after United Teachers Protests, Gherao hit Secretariat on Wednesday. "The people who were behind 10323 teachers' jobs gone, they are pushing the protests a this group of 10323 teachers. The Left Govt is fully responsible for 10323 teachers job-lost. Our Govt has done its best to help the 10323 teachers", claimed the Minister. BJP in its Vision Document had promised to do a 'permanent solution' of the 10323 teachers issue and in speeches and other written forms they promised about keeping the teachers in same teaching posts or re-recruited in teaching by changing a part of the law and said, Central Govt is in full support of the decision, but Minister Ratanlal Nath has not accepted that point.
In a thousands of numbers the terminated teachers on yesterday moved towards the Secretariat to ask the govt when will this period of uncertainty and depression will end. To stop them police imposed “lathi charge” on them and injured many of the agitators including women. However, police couldn’t stop their strong will power and as they were majority in number police failed to stop them from their curriculum.
Later, the Education Minister was bound to meet them. The teachers will meet CM Biplab Deb and a new decision is in expectation by 7 days but Minister Ratanlal Nath's statement said that the Govt is strict to the phase-wise recruitment and the recent taken cabinet decision, although this decision could not allow more than 2000 recruitment in the first year.
